The Deputy Building Official supervises the inspection and plan review staff to ensure compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and laws governing the construction, use, and occupancy of buildings, structures, and land. This position acts as the Chief Building Official in their absence and provides direct support in the management of permitting, inspection, and enforcement functions. The Deputy Building Official receives direction from and reports to the Chief Building Official. Minimum Requirements: Associate's Degree and 8 years of experience (or related combination of education and experience), and must have Building Code Administrator, Building Inspector, and Building Plan Examiner licenses/certifications.
