Job description

Build Your Trial Career With a Plaintiff Litigation Boutique

If you're passionate about litigation and want to handle meaningful cases from start to finish, this opportunity is worth exploring.

A well-established plaintiff personal injury boutique in Tustin is adding an attorney to its litigation team. The firm is seeking someone who enjoys preparing every case as though it will go to trial and values thoughtful advocacy over high-volume file management.

Attorneys are trusted to independently manage their caseloads while receiving support from an experienced litigation staff. Success is measured by the quality of your work, responsiveness, meeting deadlines, and contributing to successful outcomesโ€”not by billable hours.

Responsibilities

  • Manage plaintiff personal injury litigation from filing through trial or settlement.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, and substantive motions.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Prepare witnesses and experts.
  • Handle mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
  • Negotiate settlements.
  • Develop litigation strategy and trial themes.
  • Appear regularly before California Superior Courts.
  • Serve as first or second chair during trial, depending on experience.

Ideal Background

  • Approximately 3-10 years of litigation experience.
  • Plaintiff's personal injury experience preferred.
  • Defense personal injury attorneys are encouraged to apply.
  • Solo practitioners with strong litigation backgrounds are welcome.
  • Strong deposition and motion practice experience.
  • Trial experience or meaningful second-chair experience.
  • California Bar admission in good standing.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary of $150,000-$190,000, depending on experience.
  • Merit bonus tied to successful case fees.
  • Origination compensation.
  • Settlement bonus opportunities.
  • 100% employer-paid medical insurance for employees and dependents.
  • Dental and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Immediate benefits eligibility.
  • Paid time off and sick leave.
  • Significant advancement opportunities.
  • The position is primarily in-office in Tustin.

Salary Range: $150,000-$190,000
