Join our Core Director Support team as a Deposit Operations Specialist and play a vital role in helping financial institutions successfully operate and optimize their core banking systems. In this highly collaborative position, you'll serve as a trusted partner to clients by providing expert support for deposit operations, core processing, and mission-critical day-end activities. Working alongside a knowledgeable and supportive team, you'll solve complex challenges, build strong customer relationships, and help deliver exceptional service that drives our clients' success. This position offers the flexibility to work in a remote, hybrid or in-office environment. Candidates must reside within approximately 70 miles of our office locations in Allen, TX. Birmingham, AL; Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Louisville, KY; Lenexa, KS; Monett, Mol or Springfield, MO.

The salary range for this position is $49,000- $61,000 and will be determined based on location and experience level.

All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.  

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Monitor incoming cases and emails and resolve in accordance with Service Level Standards
  • Use available support tools to assist the customer and answer general application questions.
  • Provide appropriate personnel a precise understanding of user's issues when the problem needs to be escalated to a higher level.
  • Participate in training programs, and peer groups to continuously improve product knowledge and service skills as well as bringing new ideas to the product.
  • Help grow a knowledge base and maintain with current information.
  • Understand the operating system the software resides in, along with file structures, directories, disk space, hardware resources in use, and navigating troubleshooting in the operating system.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of four years of experience in a bank or credit union deposit operations environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of deposit products, including Demand Deposit Accounts (DDA), Savings Accounts, and Certificates of Deposit (CDs), along with related servicing and operational processes. 
  • Working knowledge of Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) and exception/reject item processing, including research, resolution, and account maintenance activities. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, with the ability to effectively support internal and external customers while adhering to established policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including evening, overnight, and weekend coverage, to support financial institutions with day-end processing activities. On-call assignments occur approximately one to two times per month and four weekends per year.
  • Maintain a standard work schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CT while supporting shared departmental coverage through a rotating 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT shift approximately once every other month.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience working within a Microsoft Windows environment, including navigating file systems, managing folders, and transferring files across applications and network locations. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in end-of-day, month-end, and year-end processing activities. 
  • Experience supporting Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), including knowledge of contribution limits, Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), rollovers, and applicable regulatory requirements. 
  • Experience with year-end deposit operations processes, including tax reporting requirements and the preparation and distribution of customer tax forms. 
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry, particularly banking and credit union operations, products, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex operational issues by evaluating multiple variables, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions. 
  • Proven experience managing complex and diverse projects while exercising sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to achieve desired business outcomes. 
  • Ability to independently assess situations, recommend appropriate courses of action, and apply established methodologies and best practices to support operational excellence.
