Deportation Attorney Jobs in Georgia (NOW HIRING)

Here we Grow Again! We are seeking a Bilingual Attorney (English-Spanish) to become a part of our team!  You will represent clients in immigration removal and administrative proceedings and prepare memorandums, briefs, motions and other legal documents for the court and with USCIS.  

Responsibilities: 

• Represent clients in court or before government agencies
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
• Advise clients about immigration proceedings
• Communicate with prosecutors from the Office of Chief Counsel, ICE Agents, DHS agents, ERO officials and USCIS Officers
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in one of the 50 States in the United States
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to speak Spanish fluently preferred but not mandatory
• Courtroom experience preferred with at least 5+ years appearing, preparing and submitting evidence/motions before EOIR  
• Attorney must have strong command of English language and be able to write legal briefs in English
• Knowledgeable and understands various immigration reliefs available to include: family petition process, consular processing, U-Visas, quasi cases (immigration court/administrative cases), cancellation of removal for legal permanent residents and non-legal permanent residents, and I-601 waivers
• Experience writing briefs based on extreme hardship for I-601A, Provisional Waivers and other waiver applications strongly encouraged
• Experience in researching various legal issues based on each case type, familiar with Westlaw, Kurzban and GA statutes and Immigration Nationality Act
• Attention to detail
• Punctual, organized and reliable
• Ability to use multiple forms of communication and technology to include: Google Drive, Monday.com, Slack, email, text and phone
• Writing sample required prior to hiring

You are the right attorney for this position if you have experience appearing in immigration court.  Courtroom experience essential for success in position.  Further, you will experience with deportation /removal cases with the majority of the cases classified as Cancellation of Removal.  Law Firm handles only a limited amount of asylum cases.  The right candidate will be capable of completing assignments on deadline, communicating effectively with clients in a timely manner and office support staff.
