Job description

This mid-level position is ideal for cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineers looking to join Align Technology as an individual contributor focused on designing, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines and release automation processes. Partnering with development and crossfunctional engineering teams, you will apply expertise in automation, deployment, and infrastructure management to enhance system reliability and operational efficiency. This role is essential in strengthening Align's cloudbased ecosystem and supporting scalable, secure, and highperforming application delivery.

  • Collaborate with development teams to implement deployment and packaging automation for applications using technologies such as Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Work on strategic projects to enhance Align's cloud infrastructure approach and application deployment methodologies.
  • Develop automation solutions to eliminate repetitive tasks, monitor system health, maintain realtime inventories and reporting, and optimize existing processes.
  • Support the deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational reliability of distributed systems, client-server applications, and hybrid infrastructure spanning cloud platforms and on-premises data-center environments, including Azure HCI.
  • Stay current with modern cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the role.


Education: 
 Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience:
5+ years of experience with AWS or another major cloud platform (Azure, GCP).
Skills:  
  •  Experience managing containerized workloads in Kubernetes environments.
  •  Understanding of container lifecycle management, image creation, and container security practices.
  •  Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  •  Experience supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving on-premises infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, network-connected services, and related platform components.
  •  Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and release automation processes to enable reliable and efficient software delivery.
  •  Strong programming skills in Python.
  •  Experience deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining distributed systems or clientserver applications.
Communication: 
 Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Teamwork: 
 Ability to work effectively with software engineers, QA teams, and cloud infrastructure stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Complementary skills
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms.
  •  Strong understanding of cloudnative architectures and DevOps best practices.
  •  Ability to document processes clearly and contribute to operational standards.
