Deployment/Availability Coordinator

Make meaningful contributions that fuel critical outcomes for some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects. Join GDIT as a Deployment/Availability Coordinator for a career where your growth is just as important as the mission you support.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:

As a Deployment/Availability Coordinator, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USSTRATCOM. USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environment.

You will play a crucial role in providing administration support in the following areas:

  • Deployment Management:
    • Manage and coordinate the planning, scheduling, and successful deployment of IT systems, applications, and solutions.
    • Collaborate with change management, release management, and development teams to ensure smooth transitions of changes from development into production environments.
    • Oversee the development and documentation of deployment plans, schedules, and rollback strategies.
    • Monitor and analyze deployment issues, ensuring swift resolution and capturing lessons learned for future improvements.
  • Availability Management:
    • Create, implement, and monitor availability management processes to ensure IT services meet and exceed agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Develop and maintain availability and reliability plans for critical IT services, driving improvements where needed.
    • Conduct availability risk assessments and report on service availability trends, vulnerabilities, and potential performance improvements.
    • Work closely with infrastructure, operations, and incident management teams to resolve performance and availability issues quickly.
    • Make recommendations for Key Performance Indicator additions or modifications to improve the accuracy of SLA reporting.
    • Assist the Task Manager in collection and calculation of SLA metrics

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • BS degree; may be substituted for additional years of experience
  • 3+ years of IT/DoW administration or service management experience
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI
  • Required Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation certified within 9 months of start; GFACT or CND or Security+ or GSEC
  • Location: Offutt AFB, NE
  • Strong experience in ITIL framework, specifically ITIL 4, with preference for holding ITIL certifications (e.g., ITIL 4 Foundation, ITIL 4 Specialist or equivalent) with a deep understanding of ITIL 4 Deployment Management and Availability Management processes.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and producing actionable insights to improve IT services.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Incident response and rootcause analysis
  • Ability to escalate and collaborate with networking, storage, and security teams

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $79,050 - $106,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
