In collaboration with the Store Manager, the Department Manager takes an entrepreneurial approach to driving store sales and the overall store experience. Their goal is to deliver an environment that is engaging and inspiring to the customer while fostering continual team development, creating a culture of excellence, creativity, collaboration, innovation, and trust. 


Brand Experience

  • Acts as a brand representative reflective of the company values; collaborates with store leadership on the creation of an engaging visual experience that appeals to the Reclectic customer 
  • Supports the Store Manager to elevate every aspect of the store experience through optimizing product flow, efficient store operations and visual merchandising to create a compelling atmosphere 
  • Cultivates a welcoming and inclusive environment by being highly focused on delivering  genuine customer experiences that are engaging, efficient, and personalized; interprets customer feedback and team insights to positively improve store interactions

 Leadership + Team Management 

  • Takes an active role in recruiting, hiring, and retaining a diverse and engaged team; takes responsibility for their own development and professional growth 
  • Provides timely and specific employee feedback to create a culture of action and accountability; facilitates a thorough and thoughtful onboarding for new hires, equitable development paths for all employees, and a focus on employee engagement 
  • Assesses staff scheduling needs and assists managing team availability, requests off, and identifies  employee skill set to create an effective schedule that aligns with business requirements

Visual + Business Operations  

  • Collaborates with leadership team to assess product sell-through and identify store successes and opportunities; effectively leads an empowered team to make strategic, creative, business-impacting decisions 
  • Actively holds team accountable to scheduling and timekeeping policy through consistent payroll management  
  • Increases store sales through a strong level of customer service, business and key metric analysis, and maintaining stock levels to optimize product flow 
  • Maintains a well-organized, clean and presentable building and champions timely escalation of facilities/maintenance issues/technology issues 
  • Interprets Home Office direction to impact store’s structure, presentation, and overall productivity to drive store sales. Provides feedback to Store Manager to continuously improve operations. 
  • Adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store 

Communication + Relationships

  • Promotes an inclusive environment by representing and amplifying all voices, actively seeking and advocating different perspectives 
  • Fosters a culture of strong communication and teamwork; stays current and follows through to ensure important store information reaches all levels of the team 

  • Passion for Reclectic brand and concept 
  • 3+ years store leadership experience 
  • Proven record of hiring and developing great talent 
  • Strong understanding of merchant process and ways it impacts the business 
  • Experience in coaching, counseling, and conflict resolution 
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store, including nights, weekends, and holidays
