Job description

The Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator/Billing Coordinator supports a general dentistry practice, working within a small team to ensure seamless management of treatment planning and billing processes. This role involves coordinating insurance claims, managing patient scheduling, and providing financial counseling to support patient care and office efficiency. The coordinator will utilize Dentrix software to handle billing and insurance tasks and engage directly with patients moderately to address their financial and insurance inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed dental treatment plans aligned with patient care
  • Oversee all aspects of billing management using Dentrix software
  • Coordinate insurance claims with private insurers, Medicaid/Medicare, and self-pay patients
  • Schedule patient appointments in collaboration with clinical staff
  • Process claims accurately to ensure timely reimbursement
  • Provide financial counseling to patients regarding treatment costs and insurance coverage
  • Maintain accurate and organized dental records and billing files
  • Monitor compliance with dental billing regulations and insurance policies
  • Collaborate with a small team (2-5 members) to optimize practice operations
  • Deliver responsive customer service addressing patient billing and treatment inquiries

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in dental administration
