Job description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our well-established dental practice. The ideal candidate must be passionate about oral health and providing exceptional patient care.

HIGHTLIGHTS:

- Private practice loccated at the heart of Paramount city, single location, PPO and FFS patients only, no HMO or dentical
- Office hour: Mon to Fri 9-6pm, 2x Sat per month 8-4pm

- Available position hour: 1 to 3 days per week. Specific days are flexible and can be arranged during interview.
- Hygiene schedule consists of 8 patients per day on average, 1-hr per adult patient, 30-min per child patient, 1-hr lunch break
- Pay: $50 - 60 / hour based on experience and knowledge, bonus at the end of each quarter based on office performance.

- New-grad are welcome to apply
- The office uses Dentrix software and Dexis digital imaging. We also have Vatech CBCT, Trios 5 wireless scanner, Sprintray 3D printing system...
- Spanish speaking is not required but would be a plus

- Position available immediately. In-person interview followed by work-interview are necessary before employment can be offered. Please email resume if interested.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Take xrays and intra-oral photos for patients
- Conduct oral cancer screening and perform dental cleaning
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care

- Educate patients on the importance of dental works and recommended treatments, working with the team to improve tretament acceptance rate as well as patient satisfaction.
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Administer local anesthetics under dentist's supervision
- Provide fluoride treatments and apply sealants
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment

SKILLS:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

- Proficient in infection control procedures
- Knowledge of medical records management
- Ability to take vital signs accurately
- Competence in dental imaging techniques
- Understanding of dental terminology

About our practice: we are a busy and growing private dental practice located at the heart of Paramount city and has been serving the local community for over 30 years. We only accept private patients and PPO insurance (no HMO or Denti-cal). The practice is open Mon to Fri, and 2x Sat per month with hygiene schedule everyday, and with 2x RDH on Tue, Wed, and Thu. We current have 1x RDH who has been with us for over 20 years. Our office manager is also an active RDH who graduated from USC and is willing to provide training and guidance to new graduate hygienist. We are looking for an additional RDH to cover 2 to 3 of the following days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri and 2x Sat per month (the 1st and 4th). There are opportunities to add more days to become fulltime with more benefits in the future. We are looking for a team-player hygienist who is passionate about dental hygiene and caring for patient oral health, motivated for growth and thrive in the field of dentistry.
