To thrive as a Dental RN, you need a solid background in nursing fundamentals, dental procedures, and patient care, supported by an RN license and experience in dental or oral surgery settings. Familiarity with dental charting software, electronic health records (EHRs), and infection control protocols is typically required. As a Dental RN, you play a crucial role in supporting dentists and dental hygienists, particularly during surgical or complex dental procedures. Dental RNs, or Dental Registered Nurses, are licensed registered nurses who specialize in providing nursing care within dental practices or oral surgery settings.
