Minimum Qualifications No experience or training required

Job Duties and Other Information Duties and responsibilities included, but not limited to: Assist dentists and dental students with chair side treatment of patients Maintain and stock cabinet Instruct and evaluate students in proper four-handed dentistry techniques Chart patients according to LSU SD systems (Axium Computer knowledge) Give fluoride treatments as directed by dentist or student Give follow-up home instructions as directed by dentist or student Check inventory and order supplies when needed. Knowledgeable of computers.

Appointment Type: Classified Probational Career Progression: This position is part of the career progression group May be filled as a Dental Assistant 1 ,2 or 3. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; work hours will be determined by department. Work Location: 1100 Florida Ave, New Orleans, LA 70119 Compensation: There is a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $15.05 per hour for Dental Assistant 2 title $14.06 for Dental Assistant 1 title Pay based on years of experience for Dental Assistant 3 title Additional compensation $1.00 Longevity Pay for hours worked only

$2.25 per hour candidates that hold a current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification. $1.50 per hour for EDDA certification (Expanded Dental Duty Dental Assistant).
