Position Summary Information

Delta College is seeking instructors committed to the college's philosophy that education serves the greater good by providing students access to a better life. The candidates for adjunct instructor positions understand that community colleges are positioned to fundamentally change people's lives, and as a result, society itself. Required qualities include a belief that continuous improvement in pedagogy and relationships with students, other faculty, and staff are hallmarks of an educator who has been called to the profession. We are seeking colleagues who embrace the idea of helping students achieve their goals, and approach academic excellence as evidenced in equity as a moral imperative.
The Health & Wellness division is looking for an instructor to provide clinical and or didactic instruction in the Dental Hygiene programs.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years (3000 hours) recent and relevant experience
  • Current Registered Dental Hygienist License, State of Michigan
  • Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Certification, State of Michigan
  • Current BLS Certification

Additional Experiences Considered
  • Extensive experience in treating moderate and advanced periodontal disease.
  • Strong instrumentation skills.
  • Competent and confident in administering local anesthesia
  • The following are not required but will be given additional consideration: Teaching experience. Experience with curriculum development. Community Involvement. Professional organization participation. Masters Degree.
