Job description

  • To assist as Public Relations (PR) person to bring in new enrollment (recruitment); distribute periodically information, etc. out in community;
  • Direct contact to Executive Director for direction of daily or weekly communication of program flow and operation management;
  • To assist Executive Director with staff training, workshops, retreat, etc.
  • Assistant to Program Management Team i.e. scheduling, coverage and day to day operations;
  • To always maintain professional approach both with parents/staff;
  • To assist with coordinating and planning for special events for staff (i.e. yearly employment anniversaries, personal acknowledgments, accomplishments, etc.);
  • To assist in coordinating job fair for new hire employment for vacant positions;
  • To coordinate with Tier Leader(s) and plan for program events to include family and community;
  • To maintain with new hire orientation check list and entry in Smartcare, Remind and payroll management system (quicken);
  • To maintain and assist Program Director of Compliance required documents for employment i.e. TB test, finger prints and criminal background check, and personal identify health assessment;
  • To oversee entry of all staff time cards and preparation for monthly payroll;.
  • To assist with program budget for all calendar’s events, outtings, purchases, etc. from daily, weekly or monthly invoices, purchase orders, credit cards to ensure purchase guidelines for authorized staff ;
  • To assist in maintaining program policies documentation i.e. staff handbook and manual as necessary and provide input of changes and updates;
  • Curriculum
  • Supports Executive Director in the teacher evaluation process
  • Conduct new hire orientation and training for all new/old staff
  • Conduct planning with Tier leaders, approve lesson plans and prepare curriculum purchases for approval
  • Convey with teaching staff to engage, support, and disseminate instructional information
  • Support Executive Director in building the daily schedule to optimize student learning, enrichment, and exposure to core curriculum enhancing student interests
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff from observation and training
  • Monitor and analyze classroom environment, structure and classroom management to make informed decisions towards enhancement and growth
  • Lead the coordination of program events, i.e. Family Nights, Black History, Fall Festival, Annual events, Graduation, all of the program events
  • Establish community partners in support of the program growth
  • Coordinate with Program Director of Compliance to ensure in-service training, and instructional needs are met
  • Lead in the development of the calendars (academic, assessment and professional development)
  • Coordinate professional development activities for the program and support the coordination of professional development for all staff
  • Model and coach teachers in the implementation of feedback
  • Collaborate with Program Assistant of Operations on Teacher and Student Recruitment efforts.
  • Actively engage program and teaching staff with community agencies in support of increasing community involvement in our program
  • Direct contact for Early Head Start Program And coverage.
