Location : Plano, TX (Onsite)
Term : W2/Full Time Role
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Denodo Lead Developer to lead the design, development, optimization, and support of enterprise data virtualization solutions using the Denodo Platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Denodo, SQL, data integration, performance tuning, cloud data platforms, and leading technical teams. The candidate will collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and data engineering teams to deliver scalable and secure virtual data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of data virtualization solutions using Denodo Platform.
  • Build and maintain Virtual DataPort (VDP) views, derived views, interfaces, and data services.
  • Design reusable semantic data models and virtual data layers.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, cloud platforms, APIs, and flat files.
  • Optimize Denodo queries, caching strategies, and overall platform performance.
  • Develop REST and SOAP data services using Denodo.
  • Implement security, authentication, authorization, and row/column-level security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, BI Developers, and business teams.
  • Guide junior developers and conduct code reviews.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and provide best practices.
  • Create technical documentation and deployment guides.
  • Support production releases and environment migrations.

Required Skills (Must Have)
  • 8+ years of IT experience with 4+ years of hands-on Denodo development
  • Strong experience with Denodo Platform (VDP, Design Studio, Scheduler, Solution Manager)
  • Expertise in SQL and query optimization
  • Experience building Virtual Views, Derived Views, Base Views, Data Services
  • Strong understanding of Data Virtualization Architecture
  • Experience with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources
  • Performance tuning and cache management
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts
  • Experience with Git or other version control tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
