Job description

We are seeking an experienced Demolition Foreman to lead demolition operations for a major new construction project in Arlington, Virginia. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of demolition practices, job site safety, crew supervision, and project coordination.


Pay and Schedule:

Pay: $27 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours guaranteed with possible overtime

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily demolition activities on-site
  • Lead crews performing interior and selective demolition work
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project schedules
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety standards
  • Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and provide guidance to crew members
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and site personnel
  • Inspect equipment and tools to ensure proper operation and maintenance
  • Track manpower, materials, and daily progress reports
  • Identify and resolve job site issues proactively
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in demolition, construction, or related trades
  • Previous supervisory or foreman experience required
  • Strong understanding of demolition methods, site logistics, and safety requirements
  • Ability to read plans and understand project specifications
  • Experience managing crews of laborers and equipment operators
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work in Arlington, VA
