About the Job:

We are currently looking to hire a Demand Planner!

The Demand Planner is responsible for successfully developing and recommending a multiple-input demand plan through the management of collaborative relationships with the sales and marketing teams. Has ultimate responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of both the aggregate and detailed demand plan. This role will work closely with Sales and Operations Planning functions by providing demand level insights to drive production, inventory deployment, and customer service decisions.

The role is a hybrid 3 days in office, based in Broomfield, CO.


This role may be responsible for, but not limited to:

The Demand Planner will support the Demand Planning Senior Manager for the following duties:

  • Forecasting and Planning
  • Maintain demand forecasts integrity in corporate tools and systems
  • Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality to create accurate demand forecasts
  • Incorporate forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources
  • Support new codes creation for finished goods
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Lead weekly/monthly forecast review meetings
  • Communicate forecast changes and potential quantified volume impacts to relevant departments
  • Lead alignment conversations marketing & sales as well as support Demand Review with broader cross-functional teams
  • Inform Supply Planning counterparts on changing demand trends that may impact their production plans
  • Stay informed about market trends, product launches, and changes in customer demand
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Analyze and report on forecast accuracy and bias, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Own key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and forecasting
  • Support master data integrity in planning system
  • Use PBI tools to analyze data and generate insights
  • Provide inputs on new product forecasts and assist in the phase-in/phase-out planning process.

The base compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience.

About You

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in supply chain management, statistics, finance, engineering, or a related field preferable
  • 2+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or relevant work experience

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Proficiency in demand planning tools, SAP APO application experience preferred
  • Superior MS Excel, Power BI, and Power Point skills
  • Understanding of go to market strategies and sales strategies.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and reasoning skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exposure to Sales & Operations Planning and other internal and external collaborative processes.
  • This position requires the skills to communicate and collaborate with others in ways that lead to consensus on a decision.
  • Prior experience with consumer-packaged goods (CPG) suppliers to mass-merchant retailers.
  • Knowledge of statistical forecasting techniques and demand modeling is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
