Job description

Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Demand Planner to join our team and create and maintain our demand planning forecasts. In this role you will collaborate across departments to build item-level forecasts for our 3500+ SKUs to improve purchasing patterns and reduce stockouts. You will also perform detailed analysis of forecasts to increase accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and support a demand forecast model based on industry trends, demand patterns and internal company data to reduce stock outs and better financial planning.
  • Maintain forecasts at the item level across multiple product verticals in order to provide Supply Chain with the information they need to place future orders.
  • Constantly improve future forecast accuracy through process improvements, new data points and frequent comparison of forecast to actual values.
  • Work with the Marketing team to adjust forecasts for future marketing activities and with Product Development to adjust for new product additions.
  • Work with the marketing team to identify overstocked items to push promotions to increase demand and reduce inventory.
  • Work with supply chain team to identify opportunities to reduce or increase future purchases based on change is demand predictions.

Requirements
Required and Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Comfort with a fast-paced, always changing environment.
  • 1-3 years' experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain or similar field.
  • Strong analytical, statistical and math skills.
  • Experience with AI tools such as Claude a plus.
  • Understanding of data management.
  • Advanced skills with Excel.
  • Ecommerce background is a plus.
