Job description

Job Title: Data Analyst / Business Analyst (Strong In SQL)

Duration: 6-month contract possibility to extend

Location: (Onsite) Alpharetta, GA

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a hands-on Data Analyst / Business Analyst to support data analysis, reporting, and business-facing data requests. This position is a backfill for a departing team member who will remain available part-time through the end of August to support the transition.
  • The ideal candidate is technically strong, highly proficient in SQL, and comfortable translating business questions into accurate data and reporting outputs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write SQL queries to retrieve, analyze, and validate data.
  • Respond to recurring and ad hoc data requests.
  • Translate business questions and reporting needs into clear data outputs.
  • Create and maintain reports using Tableau and Excel.
  • Work with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and communicate findings.
  • Support existing reporting processes and troubleshoot data issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong SQL query-writing skills.
  • Experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or reporting-focused role.
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau and Excel.
  • Ability to work directly with business users and translate requests into data solutions.
  • Some Power BI experience is helpful but not required.

The projected hourly range for this position is $30-38/hr.
