The Global Supply Network Planning Sr. Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team of Supply Network Planners and is responsible for ensuring that worldwide allocations / deployments of inventory deliver the most effective customer service experience for our customers worldwide. This individual manages the supply review process for Wound Closure & Healing.

You will work in close collaboration with the regional planning, global commercial marketing, external operations, projects and manufacturing groups to ensure that there is a clear and concise process for proactively managing vulnerable supply situations

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages global customer service levels to target / or above through:

a. Value stream supply network planning management approach,

b. Rapid response supply network planning team management approach,

c. Best in class service interruption escalation management process.

  • Responsible for the weekly product / service vulnerability process.

  • Lead Integrated Business Plan (IBP) discussions with Regional Plan teams and Commercial and Finance partners.

  • Maintains and develops tools and processes to analyze, review and resolve any misalignments between demand, supply, and capacity.

  • Ensures close collaboration with the Supply Network Planning team and the regional planning partners to reconcile and synchronize supply with demand expectations and ensure optimal customer service to end customer and affiliates, while managing inventory to target levels.

  • Provides leadership and guidance on the demand, supply and distribution planning processes that drive cost-effective stock-inventory availability while protecting customer service through a robust supply review process.

  • Develops and ensures that appropriate planning processes and systems are in place to execute the supply network planning operations that are compliant with corporate policies at all times.

  • Manages the worldwide Supply Network Planning maturity assessment and strategic roadmap.

  • Ensures understanding and communication on the business consequences arising from planning / allocation trade-offs. Applying scenario planning and escalation for decision making where required.

  • Responsible for achieving on time in full (OTIF) at allocation targets and driving continuous improvements in this area.

  • Responsible for achieving backorder targets and driving continuous improvements in this area.

  • Ensures activities performed are compliant with the Ethicon Quality System.

  • Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all company guidelines and policies.

  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.

  • Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.

QualificationsEducation:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.

  • MBA or equivalent master's degree is desirable

  • APICS or Process Excellence (ex. Lean, Six Sigma) certification is highly preferred.

Experience and Skills:
  • A minimum of 8 years of related experience in the areas of planning, materials management, logistics, inventory control, sourcing, or procurement is required.

  • 5+ years' experience in a supply chain role involving supply and / or demand planning is required.

  • Understanding of end to end supply chain interactions and interdependencies is required.

  • Experience in S&OP or IBP is required.

  • Strong analytical and financial skills is required.

  • Strong strategic vision on planning processes and inventory management is required.

  • Leadership / supervisory experience is a must with proven experience in leading teams.

  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate at all levels in the organization is required.

  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Proficient in MS office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Planning, Flow Charts, and management of database tools is required.

  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

  • Sound Knowledge of ERP system, MRP, and DP, is preferred.

Other:

Participation in conference calls and meetings during late night/early morning hours may be required occasionally.

This position may require up to 25% of travel both internationally and domestically.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$116,000.00 - $200,100.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
