Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Delphi Developer to join our team. As a Senior Delphi Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications in an object-oriented environment. You must have excellent programming skills, including strong experience in Delphi and understanding of design patterns and best practices. In this role you will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as an Engineer to provide VistA/Cerner expertise to interface efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain highquality software applications using Delphi.
  • Collaborate with system integrator and provide expertise to ensure the interface design and development meet VA requirements
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to design, develop, and test software applications.
  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs to support web and mobile applications.
  • Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues promptly
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure project timelines and milestones are met.
  • Analyze system requirements and develop software solutions that meet business needs.
  • Write clear, maintainable, and welldocumented code.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other team members.
  • Estimate the time required to complete development tasks and report progress to project manager.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience with VA VistA written in MUMPS and/or DoD Health systems as well as Cerner/EHR deployment
  • 5 years of experience with Embarcadero Delphi 10.3
  • Excellent understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., Agile, OO)
  • Strong understanding of objectoriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with SQL Server is a plus.
  • Security: Ability to obtain/maintain a Federal Civilian Public Trust

    U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident that has lived in the United States for at least 3 years
