Responsibilities/Qualifications

Drees Homes, one of the Nation's largest homebuilders is seeking a collaborative team player who is dedicated and passionate about residential design for an immediate opportunity as an Architecture Specialist.

In this role, we are looking for a candidate who is passionate about residential architecture, the creative process of design, the art of visualization, and the transformation of design concepts into detailed construction documents that support our teams in the field.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete accurate construction drawings and details
  • Review proposed designs for compliance with applicable codes
  • Complete independent assignments with minimal supervision
  • Fluent in Design Principles for completion of assigned projects
  • Coordinate plans to review and integrate engineering, electrical, and HVAC solutions
  • Coordinate selections with standard plans to generate site-specific drawings ready for permit.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:  

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
  • Master of Architecture, a plus
  • Residential architecture work or course work experience
  • Must be proficient in Revit and MS Office programs; AutoCAD experience a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and manage project priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • In lieu of work experience, Master of Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture or Construction Management will be considered
  • Be prepared to present a portfolio during the interview process
