Job description

We are seeking several drivers to join our growing company. Drivers are responsible for the delivery of milk to large retailers. (Walmart, Costco, Wegmans...)You will be unloading freight using an electric jack. Routes cover DC to NJ, VA, MD and some NC, they are 2-6 stops per route.

The general schedule is 5 days a week, but we operate 7, so days off will vary. Start times are between 8pm-2am and most drivers are finished between 10am-12pm. 90% of the routes will be home daily. Pay is 30/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
  • Load and unload cargo
  • Properly track and document activity log
  • Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
  • Inspect truck before and after trip
  • All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops and are required to load packages onto hand trucks and unload product at each stop on the assigned route in the order they are designated by the Transportation Department Manager.
  • The candidate will operate successfully in a cross-dock model picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and returning the empty truck back to the assigned lot at the end of the route.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
  • Commercial driver's license
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong work ethic
