The Delivery Manager will lead or support client delivery for IBM i managed services customers. This role blends deep hands-on IBM i infrastructure expertise with strong engagement leadership. The Delivery Manager will ensure system stability, and operational performance either independently or with technical staff, and serve as a primary liaison to guarantee services align with Statement of Work (SOW) guidelines and strict SLAs.

• System Administration : Provide day-to-day monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support for IBM i (AS/400) environments.
• Virtualization & HMC : Manage PowerVM virtualization, including LPAR provisioning, resource optimization, and HMC configurations.
• Maintenance & Recovery : Execute routine maintenance (PTFs, OS upgrades, firmware updates) and support backup, disaster recovery, and high availability (MIMIX, PowerHA) operations.
• Process Modeling : Provide senior-level architecture analysis, data modeling, and database design across application environments.

• Client Liaison : Act as the bridge between clients and technical teams to maximize clear communication and centralize client expectations.
• SLA & SOW Compliance : Ensure all deliverables, project hours, and system uptimes strictly align with contract SOWs and customer commitments.
• Reporting & Risk Mitigation : Develop weekly status reports, manage change control, and elevate project risks to internal and external stakeholders.

• Team Supervision : Manage and mentor junior and intermediate technical staff, directing both US-based and offshore delivery teams.
• Project Management : Serve as Project Lead using Agile methodologies to guide end-to-end system lifecycles for major upgrades or migrations.
• Operational Strategy : Contribute to runbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and line-of-business leadership processes.

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• IBM i Experience : 10+ years of technical engineering, production support, or architecture experience with IBM i (AS/400) systems.
• Leadership Experience : Proven track record leading cross-functional teams, managing client delivery, and handling SLA-driven ticket environments.

• Deep expertise in PowerVM (VIOS/LPAR) and HMC administration .
• Strong incident management, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Working knowledge of IBM i cloud platforms ( PowerVM ) and automation scripting ( CL, Python, Ansible ).
• Experience with IBM i languages ( RPG III/IV, ILE RPG, COBOL ) to support troubleshooting.

• Communication : Excellent verbal and written skills to present complex data insights clearly to stakeholders.
• Problem Solving : Proactive mindset focused on preventative maintenance, uptime, and continuous improvement.

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support when required.
• Ability to travel occasionally for system installations or critical client activities.
