Job description

TITLE: DELIVERY DRIVER & INSTALLER
 REPORTS TO: DELIVERY MANAGER OR OFFICE MANAGER
Safely drive delivery truck/van, deliver and install merchandise to customers in a professional, ethical and courteous manner by following company methods.  The installer is the last company representative to have direct contact with customers, and it is his/her responsibility to leave customers with a positive impression of the company.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver, install and hook up merchandise sold to customers.
Complete customer paperwork according to company standards.
Ensure courteous and positive attitude is maintained in the execution of duties.
Assist in preparing merchandise for delivery and installation per work order instructions.
Assist in receiving merchandise at the warehouse. Notify supervisor of any damaged or missing merchandise.
Assist in maintaining warehouse in an orderly fashion ensuring area is clean and free of debris.
Pick up merchandise from vendors as required.
Communicate installation, delivery or customer issues to supervisor.
Operate company vehicles in accordance with State Law. Notify supervisor of any violations/accidents.
Assist in maintaining delivery vehicles and equipment.
Assist in setup and arrangement of in-store floor display models.
Adherence to company and applicable OSHA/VOSHA safety regulations.
Report all injuries or accidents on the job to supervisor immediately.
Attend all safety and company mandated meetings as required.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school equivalent use of written and spoken English communication
Valid and clean driver’s license/record
40-hour work week, open to possible overtime
Ability to lift heavy items with proper equipment and assistance.
Be punctual and reliable
Positive individual, flexible personality and team attitude
Customer service focus with clear, professional communication and interpersonal skills
