Salary / Hourly Rate: $110,000 - $140,000 annually (based on experience)

Job Summary:
The Certified Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive midwifery care across outpatient clinic and hospital labor & delivery settings. This role includes prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecologic, and preventive services, working collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide full-scope midwifery care including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic services
  • Independently manage spontaneous vaginal deliveries and assist with cesarean births as needed
  • Perform well-woman exams, preventive screenings, and contraceptive counseling
  • Support postpartum recovery including breastfeeding guidance and newborn care education
  • Educate patients on family planning, reproductive health, and birth options
  • Collaborate with OB/GYNs, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the EHR
  • Promote evidence-based practice and patient advocacy throughout the care continuum

Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse-midwifery program
  • Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
  • Active Arizona Certified Nurse Midwife license or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • BLS certification preferred
  • Minimum one year of full-scope midwifery experience strongly preferred
