The Truck Driver Manager oversees cross dock operations, supervises the staff of truck drivers, and drives company trucks to make route deliveries. Works closely with internal departments to ensure product is delivered to customers in a timely manner while staying compliant with DOT regulations. 


Schedule for Truck Driver Manager:

  • $59,000.00 annual salary
  • Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 4:00 pm (End Time Varies on Most Days Due to Workload / Coverage)
  • Up to 80% driving per day

Truck Driver Manager duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee Logistics cross dock operations, maintaining inventory levels and functionality of warehouse space.
  • Supervise the staff of non-CDL truck drivers. Responsible for orientation and training of new truck driver staff.
  • Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers.
  • Load and unload freight from trucks.
  • Respond to all customer inquiries through phone or email.
  • Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
  • Performs related duties as required, to include updated route directions, stop to stop, for all routes.
  • Communicate with logistics manager and shop manager on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
  • Ability to comply with all FMCSA rules and regulations.
  • Heavy lifting 75+lbs.

Requirements for Truck Driver Manager:

  • 1-3 years' experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs.
  • 2+ years supervisory/management experience.
  • Previous warehouse experience and ability to operate a forklift or man lift preferred.
  • Must obtain forklift certification within three (3) months of being on the job.
  • Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state. No restrictions.
  • Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks, and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
  • No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
  • Ability to comply with all FMCSA rules and regulations.
