Job description

  • Driver's receive $11.00 per hour, paid weekly. 
  • Paid Daily : $3.69 per Delivery Fee Plus tips 
  • Drivers make $20-$25 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

A Driver primarily delivers pizzas, subs, and other Company products, using a personal vehicle, to customer locations using the most efficient route. A delivery driver must be able and willing to perform all crew member functions as necessary.

EDUCATION
No High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and no moving violations in the past 36 months.
  • Must have a personal vehicle that is properly insured and meets safety requirements as per Company standards, and as required by the State of Ohio.
  • Must be able to provide proof of insurance when requested.
  • Must be able to pass State of Ohio physical requirements for auto licensing.
  • Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Must have knowledge of basic math and Computer skills.
  • Must have knowledge of the English language, including the meaning of words and grammar.

MINIMUM CAPABILITIES

  • Ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Ability to partake in various forms of training.
  • Ability to pass required tests.
  • Ability to read and understand rules and instructions.
  • Ability to reach, see, talk, hear, stand, and walk quickly for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds at various times.
  • Ability to read maps or find a specified route using other mapping resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Drives personal vehicle over established routes or within an established territory and delivers food products.
  • Determines the best route for delivering food products to each customer location.
  • Collects payment from customers and calculates monetary exchange.
  • Uses established traffic or transportation policies and procedures.
  • Secures all items for each order before leaving the store (chips, soda, side items, etc.).
  • Follows all traffic laws.
  • Has knowledge of the delivery area and uses maps or other resources for best routing results.
  • Answers customer questions and concerns regarding Company products and services.
  • Stacks or piles containers, materials, or products.
  • Places food and beverages in take-out containers for customers.
  • Provides and portrays proper and professional customer service on every delivery.
  • Listens to oral instructions to determine work assignment.
  • Arrives promptly to work each scheduled day in proper uniform.
  • Ensures all safety policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Must be able to deliver customer orders in inclement weather.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs all crew member essential functions when needed (see Crew Member Job Description).
  • Learns and perform other positions as needed.
  • Uses professional and proper oral and written communication techniques.
  • Uses knowledge of food handling rules.
  • Understands Company and government food service regulations.
