Sr. Manager, Delivery Assurance - Large Programs

Location: Pelzer, SC (fully on-site)

Position Summary

The Sr. Manager, Delivery Assurance is responsible for end-to-end execution performance across a large, complex specific customer program, ensuring alignment from engineering release through BOM readiness, material availability, factory execution, installation readiness, and final shipment delivery.

This role serves as the primary operational execution leader across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and customer stakeholders, driving synchronized execution to meet committed delivery dates and specifications.

Acting as the bridge between program planning and factory execution, this role manages delivery performance, execution risk, and alignment of product configuration, materials, suppliers, and production schedules to customer requirements.

This position also serves as a key customer-facing execution interface, maintaining structured cadences with customers, general contractors, and integrators to provide visibility into delivery status, risks, shipment quantities, installation requirements, and schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Assurance, Customer Engagement & Program Execution Leadership

  • Own end-to-end delivery performance for assigned large-scale programs and product lines.
  • Serve as a key customer-facing execution contact, engaging in structured, recurring cadence meetings covering overall program status, delivery progress, shipment quantities, risks, and schedule adherence.
  • Communicate delivery risks, schedule vulnerabilities, and mitigation plans clearly to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Manage escalation pathways related to customer commitments, delivery changes, and execution risks.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, integrators, and customer installation teams to align on delivery sequencing, installation requirements, and site readiness needs.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal execution plans across engineering, manufacturing, and logistics functions.

Factory Execution & Production Readiness

  • Oversee daily and weekly production execution performance for assigned product lines.
  • Track WIP, build readiness, test completion, and shipment sequencing to ensure on-time execution.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Production Control, Quality, and Test teams to resolve execution constraints.
  • Ensure factory schedules are aligned to program priorities and customer delivery commitments.
  • Lead recovery actions for at-risk builds and coordinate prioritization decisions with operations leadership.
  • Support NPI / NPDI gate progression by ensuring manufacturing and execution readiness at each stage.
  • Identify and manage execution vulnerabilities related to capacity, materials, or schedule constraints.

Engineering Readiness, BOM Governance & Change Management

  • Govern BOM accuracy, maturity, and readiness across assigned programs and ensure alignment with released engineering configurations.
  • Ensure engineering changes (ECO/CO), customer change requests, and submittals are properly evaluated, tracked, and implemented without disruption to production schedules.
  • Partner with Engineering, Master Data, and Procurement teams to ensure accurate product configuration and ERP system alignment.
  • Validate BOM integrity, including part numbers, sourcing attributes, and revision control across systems (Oracle Fusion / EBS).
  • Ensure engineering release and configuration changes support ETO (Engineer-to-Order) and NPDI gate progression requirements.
  • Manage execution impact of design changes, customer modifications, and configuration updates.
  • Ensure BOM readiness supports uninterrupted manufacturing execution and shipment commitments.

Material Readiness & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Partner with Procurement, Supply Chain, and Materials teams to ensure availability of critical and long-lead components.
  • Monitor material shortages, allocation risks, and supplier constraints impacting execution timelines.
  • Ensure ERP signals accurately reflect material readiness, demand, and build feasibility.
  • Drive resolution of material constraints to protect production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
  • Align material availability with factory execution plans and shipment sequencing.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for execution risks across Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer interfaces.
  • Facilitate structured delivery assurance reviews, including production readiness, risk reviews, and recovery planning sessions.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership and customers on delivery status, risks, shipment forecasts, and mitigation actions.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication cadence with customers regarding overall program progress, delivery performance, and potential schedule impacts.
  • Drive accountability across all functions to ensure execution commitments are met.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
  • 10-12+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, delivery assurance, program execution, or engineering operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing execution, BOM structures, and engineering change processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion / Oracle EBS preferred).
  • Experience working in complex, multi-site manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical, operational, and communication skills with high attention to execution detail.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional execution in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in NPI / NPDI or ETO (Engineer-to-Order) program environments.
  • Experience managing customer-facing delivery coordination and general contractor / integrator relationships.
  • Lean / Six Sigma or operational excellence experience.
  • PMP or formal project/program management certification.
  • Experience with Power BI or operational analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with SIOP / IBP planning processes.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10% travel as required.

Why This Role Matters

This role is critical to ensuring that engineering release, BOM integrity, material readiness, factory execution, installation coordination, and customer delivery operate as a fully synchronized system. By driving disciplined execution across internal teams and external stakeholders-including customers, contractors, and integrators-this position ensures reliable delivery of complex customer programs and directly impacts operational performance, customer satisfaction, and business success.
