Primary Purpose


To be responsible for driving the delivery truck to transport products safely, efficiently, and accurately to customers. In addition, to be responsible for working with the management team to ensure deliveries are scheduled appropriately and timely.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load customer purchases onto delivery truck and transport it to desired destination.
  • Greet and acknowledge every customer.
  • Constant radio communication with all associates.
  • Maintain forklift, delivery truck, and propane Coastal Farm trainings.
  • Maintain compliance regarding Coastal Farm’s Driving on Company Business policy.
  • Ensure all customers receive their merchandize purchases quickly, safely, and accurately.
  • Organize and maintain the yard and breezeway areas of the store when not performing deliveries.
  • Ensure all products are stocked, assembled, unloaded, and loaded quickly and accurately when not performing deliveries.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the products Coastal Farm sells.
  • Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.


Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Help in other departments when needed.
  • Perform daily cleaning – such as, but not limited to, replacing full trashes with new trash bags, and sweeping the department floor.
  • Other duties assigned as needed.


Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift certification.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and possess driver’s license and insurance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and to shift priorities accordingly.
  • Familiar with how to operate a computer system and email.
  • Preferably familiar with standard retail concepts and practices.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
