Lumberyard & Delivery Associate

Join the team that helps build our community at Lake Lumber, helping people is what we're all about. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Lumberyard & Delivery Associate to join our team. This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in ensuring our customers receive the right materials with friendly, efficient service. If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a team that values hard work and customer service, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do As a Lumberyard & Delivery Associate, you'll help keep our yard running smoothly by:

  • Loading and unloading building materials safely and efficiently.
  • Assisting customers with loading purchases and picking up orders.
  • Preparing and staging materials for customer pickups and deliveries.
  • Delivering building materials to customers using company vehicles (valid driver's license required).
  • Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided).
  • Receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory.
  • Keeping the lumberyard clean, organized, and safe.
  • Working closely with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Providing outstanding customer service every day.

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • The ability to safely lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
  • A strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with building materials, construction, forklift operation, or general labor is a plus, but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
