About The Role:
The Furniture Delivery Assistant works alongside delivery drivers to ensure furniture is delivered safely, efficiently, and in excellent condition to customers. Responsibilities include loading and unloading furniture from delivery vehicles, assembling and placing items according to customer instructions, and ensuring all products are handled with care to prevent damage.
What you will be doing each day:
  • Deliver furniture and merchandise in a timely, professional manner while ensuring no damage to products or customers' property.
  • Provide knowledgeable, courteous, and professional customer service, meeting quality standards and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Consistently seek opportunities to exceed customer expectations and enhance their delivery experience.
  • Follow all relevant safety regulations and state laws governing vehicle operation, ensuring passengers also comply with safety requirements.
  • Adhere to company safety procedures and protocols for vehicle operation and product handling.
What You Should Know
  • This is a physically demanding role that requires regularly lifting, carrying, and moving furniture and home goods weighing up to 100-150 pounds.
  • You will work a 4-day work week, providing an extra day off while maintaining a full-time schedule.
  • Helpers typically average 35-50 hours per week, depending on delivery volume, routes, and seasonal business needs.
  • You will spend most of your workday on the road delivering merchandise and interacting directly with customers, making strong customer service skills essential.
