Job description

To assist in providing exceptional delivery service always by accurately compiling and delivering orders to customers' homes or businesses. The delivery driver works under the Front of the House Manager's general direction. The driver is responsible for delivery of all Grotto Pizza menu items to customers in a prompt, courteous, and efficient manner. These duties are performed in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures adopted by Grotto Pizza and with Federal, state and local laws.
Essential Functions:
  • Ensure accuracy of all assigned delivery orders including proper methods of payment.
  • Deliver menu items to customers in the local area in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
  • Collect payment due from delivery customers, give proper change, and keep delivery bank secure at all times.
  • Assist in answering telephones, taking orders and entering them into the POS system, and/or transferring calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager including store specific opening, closing, and side work procedures.

Requirements
Education: Some secondary education.
Experience: Excellent driving record for last two consecutive years.
Age: Must be 18 years old to operate a personal vehicle.
Other: Must meet Grotto Pizza vehicle insurance guidelines.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone and with all restaurant team members.
