Carolina Industrial Products is seeking to hire a full-time Power Recovery Center Technician to repair and refurbish industrial forklift batteries and chargers. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A POWER RECOVERY CENTER TECHNICIAN

Being the Deka battery dealer for the Carolina's we always have plenty of used batteries coming back to us from customers who purchase new equipment. As a PRC technician you are responsible for recycling these used batteries and refurbishing them back to like-new condition! The responsibilities include the following:

  • Providing battery evaluations and repairs in a high quality and efficient manner
  • Quality and efficiency of work is up to CIP standards
  • Understanding the process and procedures outlined by the PRC Production manager
  • Detailing all aspects of repairs made on an iPad
  • Communicating with the PRC Production Manager, the status of batteries in the PRC
  • Unloading product upon arrival and staging product on the racks
  • Preparing scrap batteries, staging and loading them onto trucks
  • Preparing cells, rental batteries, and reconditioned batteries to be shipped for customer needs
  • Responsible for shop warehouse inventory and communicating when parts need to be ordered or transferred
  • Keeping the shop cleaned and OSHA compliant


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical

Electrical and forklift experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate! Do you have strong communication and interpersonal skills? Are you organized and like things to be clean? Do you have exceptional critical thinking skills? Are you able to work independently? Can you follow safety protocols? If so, you may be perfect for this position!
WORK SCHEDULE

The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm.
