We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Austin office. This position is ideal for a Texas-licensed litigator with approximately 6–8 years of experience handling medical malpractice, insurance defense, premises liability, or closely related civil litigation matters.
The attorney will manage cases through multiple stages of litigation while working closely with partners and senior associates on strategy, discovery, motion practice, and resolution.
Responsibilities include:
  • Provide practical legal advice and strategic guidance to clients
  • Conduct legal research and evaluate liability, damages, defenses, and exposure
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, reports, and other litigation documents
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other court proceedings
  • Negotiate settlements and assist with dispute-resolution strategy
  • Manage discovery, deadlines, experts, and overall case progression
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case development and trial preparation
  • Represent clients in Texas state court and, when applicable, federal court

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing
  • Approximately 6–8 years of litigation experience
  • Background in medical malpractice, insurance defense, premises liability, or general civil defense
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Experience with depositions, mediation, negotiation, and motion practice
  • State and federal court experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and client-management skills
  • Ability to manage matters independently while contributing to a collaborative team

Compensation starts at approximately $140,000 and is commensurate with experience and prevailing market rates.
