We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of complex legal issues, primarily focusing on civil litigation and insurance defense. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on high-profile cases, providing legal advice and representation to our clients in a variety of legal matters. Responsibilities
As a Litigation Attorney, your duties will include:
1. Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as legal briefs, pleadings
2. Managing insurance defense litigation from inception
3. Conducting legal research and analysis of statutes, legal decisions to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings for review, hearings, and trials.
4. Negotiating settlements of civil disputes. Conduct depositions.
5. Maintaining professional competence by participating in continuing education programs, reading legal publications, and participating in professional organizations.
6. Collaborating with other attorneys in the firm
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Litigation Attorney position will have the following qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation attorney, with a focus on civil litigation and insurance defense.
3. Admission to the TX state bar.
4. Proven experience in court trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
5. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
6. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
9. A commitment to ethical standards and professional integrity.
