Description
Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a SeniorSoftware Engineer (Test) to support the development and validation of advanced software systems for a military aircraft platform. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to mission-critical avionics and embedded capabilities that enable the performance, safety, and effectiveness of next-generation military aviation systems.
This position requires a software engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. In this role, you will work independently at times on projects, at other times will be in a collaborative team environment with other software engineers, as well as other program development and deployment teams.
Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Continued eligibility for access to classified information is required throughout employment, as dictated by program needs.
Basic Requirements
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline
โ€ข 5+ years of experience in software test/automated software test
โ€ข Script Writing (Python)
โ€ข Familiarity writing automated tests
โ€ข Test automation using Python and scripting tools
โ€ข Lab and hardware-in-the-loop integration
โ€ข Ability to work onsite 100%
โ€ข Ability to travel 10%
Preferred / Additional Skills
โ€ข Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.)
โ€ข Proficient in Python development
โ€ข Requirements-based testing and traceability
โ€ข Digital simulation (SIL/MIL/HIL) and closed-loop testing
โ€ข Systems Integration Experience
โ€ข Proficient in C++
โ€ข Experience communicating and documenting complex technical designs
โ€ข Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
