Description
The Contract Administrator will support the Government in the planning, award, administration, tracking, documentation, and closeout of contracts, task orders, and acquisition instruments supporting the DCMA Blue List Program. This position will provide acquisition advisory and administrative support to Government acquisition personnel while ensuring that inherently governmental functions and contracting authority remain with authorized Government officials.
The ideal candidate will bring strong federal acquisition support experience, knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements, experience with pre-award and post-award contract administration, and the ability to maintain highly organized, audit-ready contract files and procurement records.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong writing and analytical skills, discretion with sensitive acquisition information, and the ability to coordinate effectively with contracting, legal, financial, program management, technical, and contractor stakeholders.
- Support acquisition planning activities for Blue List Program requirements.
- Assist with acquisition strategies, market research, procurement planning, milestone tracking, and acquisition documentation.
- Support Government acquisition personnel in developing procurement approaches aligned with mission requirements.
- Track procurement milestones, acquisition timelines, documentation requirements, and action items.
- Assist with development of acquisition plans, procurement schedules, and supporting acquisition artifacts.
- Assist with preparation of solicitation packages and related acquisition documentation.
- Support review of contractor proposals and acquisition submissions.
- Assist with price and cost analysis documentation.

- Support post-award contract administration activities for contracts, task orders, and other acquisition instruments.
- Assist with preparation and routing of contract modifications.
- Track contract deliverables, milestones, suspense items, option periods, and administrative actions.
- Maintain current contract status information and provide updates to Government acquisition and program personnel.
- Assist with administrative actions, closeout activities, and contract documentation updates.
- Support timely execution of procurement actions by coordinating with relevant Government stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain organized, accurate, audit-ready official contract files.
- Maintain acquisition documentation, procurement trackers, milestone schedules, correspondence logs, and contract administration records.
- Support regulatory compliance, records management, and audit readiness.
- Ensure files contain appropriate supporting documentation for acquisition planning, solicitation, award, modifications, deliverables, closeout, and related contract actions.
- Identify missing documentation, file gaps, or process issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Research applicable acquisition laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidance.
- Provide recommendations to assist Government acquisition personnel in executing procurement actions.
- Support interpretation and application of FAR, DFARS, and relevant agency supplements.
- Prepare acquisition reports, briefings, procurement metrics, data call responses, and other acquisition-related documentation.
- Assist Government leadership with acquisition visibility, procurement status, and contract administration reporting.
- Coordinate acquisition activities with Government contracting personnel, program leadership, requiring activities, technical personnel, legal counsel, financial management personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate information flow between acquisition, program, technical, cybersecurity, public affairs, and administrative support teams.
- Support meetings, reviews, and working sessions related to procurement planning, contract administration, deliverables, modifications, and closeouts.
- Maintain professionalism and discretion when handling procurement-sensitive information.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Business Administration or related degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of professional Government contracting experience required.
- Ten years of Government contracting experience highly preferred.
- Experience showing progressive responsibility across the acquisition lifecycle.
- Deep familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and guidelines.
- Experience navigating FAR, DFARS, and related supplements.
- Demonstrated experience in pre-award and post-award contract administration.
- Experience preparing solicitation packages and acquisition documentation.
- Experience conducting or supporting price and cost analysis.
- Experience drafting or supporting contract modifications.
- Experience managing formal contract closeout activities.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain audit-ready contract files, records, and correspondence logs.
