Job description

Lynch Consultants is seeking a Defense Financial Manager in the National Capital Region to join our team! This is a career-launch role within the firm's Defense Finance Practice. We are seeking proven military financial managers to continue their career as a professional consultant. The successful candidates will leverage proven FM skills and knowledge to assist our Military Service and Defense Agency Clients. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate technical expertise, directly engage with key Civilian and Military Partners, and realize unlimited upward career growth.

Salary: Up to $89,000/yr commensurate with experience.   

Work Location and Schedule: 

  • The work is onsite 5 days/week at our headquarter in Arlington, VA or on client site in the National Capital Region.

Required Qualifications – Must Have: 

  • MUST have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management related field. 

  • MUST have 4-6+ years of Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in a financial role such as: Accounting, Budget, Payroll, Audit, Financial Analyst, etc.   

  • MUST have an active DoD Secret Clearance. 

  • MUST be a US Citizen.  

  • MUST be located or willing to relocate into the National Capital Region (DC, Virginia, Maryland). 

Preferred Qualifications:  
 

  • DoD / Intelligence community financial management experience. 

  • DoD FM Certification level 1 or higher. 

  • One of the following certifications is highly desired: CPA, CIA, CFE, CFGM, and/or CDFM. 

Skills & Duties:  

  • You will interact directly with government personnel concerning financial management issues.  

  • You will demonstrate technical expertise to address client needs and provide COAs to address emerging financial risks and issues.  

  • Ideal candidates are self-motivated, proactive, and enjoy working within a small groups to achieve quantifiable results.
