Job title: Senior Agile Tester - Retail Systems & POS
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Arrangement: Onsite - 5 Days per Week
Contract Duration: Until April 2, 2027
Compensation: $64 - $67 per hour

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Agile Senior Tester to support a large-scale business transformation program involving retail operations, warehouse management, supply chain modernization, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability, and successful deployment of multiple enterprise applications through comprehensive test planning, execution, defect management, and end-to-end business process validation.

This position is ideal for a hands-on testing professional with strong retail systems experience and a proven track record supporting complex enterprise transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution
  • Develop, review, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
  • Support Functional Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E) Testing, Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Validate complex business processes across integrated retail applications and platforms.
  • Execute testing activities in alignment with project timelines, release schedules, and deployment plans.
  • Participate in test readiness reviews and release validation activities.
Defect Management
  • Log, track, prioritize, and retest defects using Jira and related testing tools.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, vendors, and technical teams to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and defect trend reporting.
  • Ensure defects are documented with detailed reproduction steps, evidence, and business impact.
Retail Systems & Business Process Validation
  • Validate end-to-end business processes across:
    • Store Operations
    • Point-of-Sale (POS) Transactions
    • Inventory Management
    • Warehouse Operations
    • Order Management
    • Product Management
    • Pricing & Promotions
    • Replenishment & Fulfillment
    • Support testing across multiple integrated enterprise systems.
    • Validate business workflows during peak operational periods and critical releases.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with business and technical stakeholders across multiple workstreams.
  • Participate in daily standups, defect triage meetings, testing reviews, and release planning sessions.
  • Provide testing status updates, risks, issues, and recommendations.
  • Support post-deployment validation and production verification activities.
  • Contribute to testing metrics, reporting, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software testing experience within enterprise environments.
  • 3+ years of retail industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms:
    • SAP
    • Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM)
    • Blue Yonder (BY)
    • GK POS
  • Strong experience with:
    • Test Execution
