Job description

Walthall Oil Company is seeking a safety-driven and dependable Tank Wagon Driver to deliver DEF products to commercial, industrial, and retail customers throughout Georgia. This position is responsible for operating a DEF tank wagon vehicle in full compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and State of Georgia regulations, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a tank wagon to transport and deliver DEF products
  • Perform product deliveries using gravity drops and pump-off systems in accordance with company and regulatory procedures
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required by DOT regulations
  • Maintain compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) requirements
  • Accurately complete delivery documentation, bills of lading, and electronic logging device (ELD) entries
  • Follow all spill prevention, emergency response, and environmental safety procedures
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers at all delivery locations
  • Report vehicle defects, safety concerns, or incidents immediately
  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local laws

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Required endorsements:
    • Tanker
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Acceptable driving record in accordance with company and DOT standards
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings (DOT regulated)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous DEF delivery experience
  • Familiarity with metering systems, pumps, and delivery equipment
  • Working knowledge of Georgia DEF delivery routes and regulations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of DOT, FMCSA, and HAZMAT compliance requirements
  • Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and handle hoses and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Frequent climbing, bending, stooping, and standing
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Work Schedule:
  • Full-time position with overtime
