Experienced Concrete Finisher

Black Earth Pavement

Delafield, WI • On-site

$35/hr

Full-time

Re-posted 25 days ago

Job description

Black Earth Pavement is a growing pavement contracting company serving commercial and residential customers across Waukesha County and the surrounding area. We operate asphalt paving, sealcoating, and concrete divisions — and we take pride in the quality of every job we touch.

We are a values-driven company. Everything we do is grounded in Attitude, Trust, Timeliness, Accountability, and Progress. If those words mean something to you, you'll fit right in.

We are growing fast, and we're building a team of experienced tradespeople who want to be part of something that's going somewhere. This isn't just a job — it's an opportunity to grow with a company that invests in its people.

  THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our concrete division immediately. You will work on a variety of flatwork and decorative concrete projects for both commercial and residential customers across Waukesha County. You will work alongside a skilled crew and report directly to the Concrete Division Head.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes craftsmanship seriously. You know what a good finish looks like, and you don't settle for anything less.

  WHAT YOU'LL DO

•       Form, pour, and finish concrete flatwork including driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, aprons, and pads

•       Execute stamped and decorative concrete work with a high level of precision and attention to detail

•       Read and interpret job specs, plans, and layout instructions

•       Operate and maintain hand and power tools including screeds, floats, trowels, and edgers

•       Work efficiently as part of a crew to meet daily production targets

•       Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times

•       Communicate clearly with the foreman and crew throughout the day

•       Uphold Black Earth Pavement's quality standards on every job — no exceptions

  WHAT YOU NEED

•       Minimum 3 years of hands-on concrete finishing experience — flatwork required, stamped concrete strongly preferred

•       Demonstrated ability to produce quality finishes independently, not just assist

•       Reliable transportation to job sites in Waukesha County

•       Ability to perform physical work outdoors in all weather conditions

•       Strong work ethic — you show up on time, ready to work, every day

•       Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team

•       Valid driver's license preferred

•       Ability to pass a background check

  PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

•       Experience with commercial concrete work (parking lots, ADA ramps, curb & gutter)

•       Experience operating a concrete saw or other power equipment

•       OSHA 10 certification

  COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with your experience. We believe in paying people what they're worth. Bring your experience and your work ethic to the table, and we will have a straightforward conversation about what that looks like.

•       Competitive hourly wage — negotiable based on experience

•       Overtime opportunities available — we stay busy

•       Full-time seasonal position with potential for year-round work as the company grows

•       Work schedule aligned with construction season in Wisconsin

  WHY BLACK EARTH PAVEMENT

•       We're growing — and we promote from within as we do

•       Small enough that your work is noticed; big enough to keep you busy all season

•       A leadership team that respects the trades and the people doing the work

•       Clear expectations — we tell you what we need and back you up to deliver it

•       A company that takes its values seriously: Attitude, Trust, Timeliness, Accountability, Progress
