Assignment:ย 
Lead engaging, hands-on baking classes. Select appropriate recipes, prepare materials, and facilitate individual Bake & Take sessions with the Adult Program Manager.ย 


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Select appropriate baking recipes that align with participant skill levels
  2. Review and test recipes ahead of time and make appropriate adjustments
  3. Assist with prep work the weekend before classes
  4. Assist in setting up and cleaning up before and after classes
  5. Facilitate sessions by demonstrating techniques, providing support and creating a welcoming environment.
  6. Monitor kitchen and food safety
  7. Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for participants of all baking levels.
  8. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Job Requirements:ย 

  1. Experience with baking
  2. Previous experience leading groups, teaching or facilitating programs preferred
  3. Strong organizational and communication skills
  4. Ability to manage a group in a hands-on environment
  5. Knowledge of basic kitchen safety and food handling
