Job description

General Description OF Responsibilities
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand business requirements and technical aspects of program changes needed for each project.
  • Develop, test, and maintain RPGLE/CLLE/SQL programs and software applications for all ERP functional areas.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities, coupled with analytical and debugging skills necessary to analyze issues reported – to understand user problems and identify root cause (analyze code, debug) and apply appropriate fixes to resolve the issue.
  • Requires strong organizational skills to be able to work on multiple projects and multiple production issues against strict deadlines.
  • Provides coaching to junior-level employees.
  • Requires participating in the on-call rotation to provide assistance during after-hours to support business and operations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with non-IT personnel at all levels in the business
  • Maintains all required corporate IT SOX compliance documentation for programming/database activities.
work experience requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of a combination of RPG-ILE, RPG Free Form, CL, CLLE, or Embedded SQL experience. Experience with MQ Series and FTP to communicate between different systems is also desirable.
  • Able to participate in on-call rotation to provide assistance during after-hours to support business and operations
  • High level troubleshooting abilities, coupled with analytical and debugging skills necessary to analyze issues related to RPGLE and CLLE, ability to modify programs, write fix programs to correct data, if necessary.
  • Proficient with structured query language (SQL) through query writing and/or ad hoc reporting is desirable.
  • Ability to use Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Project, Visio)
  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and distributions systems is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of applicable Change Management System is desirable. (Turnover preferable)
  • Strong communication and interaction skills.
  • Some travel required.
