Job Title: Valuation Services Manager

Reports to: Valuation Managing Director

Job Summary: MaloneBailey, LLP is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to serve as the Valuation Services Manager. This individual will primarily perform reviews of third-party appraisals for audit support purposes as well as help grow and deliver consulting valuation services for tax planning, financial reporting, and litigation. The successful candidate will work closely with our accounting and auditing teams to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality service.

Salary Range & Benefits: Commensurate with experience, standard firm benefits

Major Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Perform reviews of third-party appraisals for audit support purposes
  • Plan the scope of work for valuation engagements and oversee day-to-day activities and execution of multiple, concurrent engagements
  • Assume responsibility for quality control and accuracy of client deliverables, and effectively manage risk associated with engagements
  • Manage client relationships and consult with clients in all aspects of the valuation process
  • Explain and articulate valuation methodology issues and document accounting issues clearly
  • Prepare, draft and finalize valuation reports with a clear, concise writing style
  • Service clients from multiple industries and deliver valuation engagements for financial reporting in audit reviews
  • Manage and deliver business and intangible valuations for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring and reorganizations, corporate services and management planning purposes

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Valuation or relevant accreditation required
  • 5+ years experience in valuation
  • Experience in valuations of intangible assets (customer relationships, trade names and technology); contingent consideration (earn-outs); share-based award valuations (SARs, options); warrants; convertible preferred stock; and convertible debt.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and tax-related valuations
  • Self-motivated with research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage client relationships and oversee multiple, concurrent valuation engagements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical financial modeling skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Education and Licenses:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field required
  • ASA, CFA, ABV, CPA certification preferred
