Inventory Clerk

Joe Myers Toyota is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate vehicle inventory records, coordinating vehicle movement, and ensuring inventory is properly organized, accounted for, and ready for sale.

Job Summary

The Inventory Specialist will assist with the daily management of dealership inventory. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments to ensure vehicles are properly tracked, located, and maintained within the dealership's inventory system.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • ·  Stock-in newly received vehicles accurately and efficiently.
  • ·  Verify VINs, stock numbers, mileage, vehicle descriptions, and other vehicle information.
  • ·  Enter vehicle information into the dealership's computer system.
  • ·  Process PB units and ensure all required information is properly recorded.
  • ·  Inspect vehicles upon arrival and report any discrepancies or damage to management.
  • ·  Ensure vehicle paperwork and documentation are complete and accurate.
  • ·  Coordinate with Sales, Service, Detail, and other departments regarding newly received vehicles.
  • ·  Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory.
  • ·  Assist with locating and moving vehicles throughout the dealership.
  • ·  Ensure vehicles are properly identified and placed in the appropriate inventory location.
  • ·  Assist with inventory audits and resolving discrepancies.
  • ·  Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
  • ·  Follow all dealership policies and procedures.
  • ·  Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Previous automotive dealership or inventory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership inventory systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
