We are seeking an experienced and motivated Ford Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department and support a growing Fixed Operations team. The ideal candidate brings strong dealership parts experience, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage inventory, purchasing, and customer satisfaction. This role directly supports our technicians, service advisors, and retail/wholesale customers by ensuring the right part is available at the right time.

Automotive Parts Manager Compensation and Benefits:

Automotive Parts Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control, purchasing, receiving, and stocking.
  • Oversee and coordinate the sale and delivery of parts to customers and technicians.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and reorder stock as needed to avoid overstocking or shortages.
  • Establish pricing levels and ensure competitive profitability.
  • Work closely with the service and sales departments to support their parts needs.
  • Monitor and manage parts returns, warranties, and core credits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate parts department staff.
  • Generate and analyze reports to track sales performance, inventory turns, and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner

  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations applicable to industry

Automotive Parts Manager Requirements:

  • Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus

  • Ability to identify the problem quickly

  • Knowledge of automobiles

  • Proficient in inventory management software (e.g., Autosoft, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.).
  • Effective analytical and communication skills

  • Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills

  • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications

  • Minimum of 3 years in service department

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Positive, friendly attitude 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice to have Skills:

  • ASE Parts Specialist Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with dealership management systems.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
