Job description

The Payment Processor is responsible for preparing transactions for deposit in a high production environment by following established procedures and ensuring work is completed based on the Firm's established controls and regulations
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
  • Indexing, researching and applying payments to WWR accounts.
  • Manual entry of MICR and/or CARLAR data from received checks into the system.
  • Create letters to consumers as required.
  • Post Cash payments.
  • Process Web payments, debit card payments and post- dated checks.
  • Process payments on closed accounts.
  • General posting items.
  • Ensures proper communication is made to the Legal Department upon receiving any checks allocation to the Legal Department.
  • Process check-by-phone payments made through the Consumer Collections business unit.
  • Complete all required training applicable to this position
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of clerical experience.
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to proficiently use the following computer software program and possess the following computer related skills: MS Office (high proficiency in Excel), HP, Outlook, Foxtrot, SharePoint. Internet Research.
  • Must be able to pass a detailed background check and drug screen

Compensation and Benefits:
  • $20.33-24.78/hour or more depending on experience
