Colville, Inc. is hiring a Full-Time Mechanic/Oiler for our shop in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska (Deadhorse).

Join Our Team

As a Mechanic/Oiler at Colville, Inc., you’ll work alongside a dynamic North Slope crew supporting the repair and maintenance of both heavy duty and light equipment. This position is based on site in Deadhorse, AK, and employees live in camp at Brooks Camp during their hitch.

About the Team

  • You’ll join a North Slope-based division within Colville
  • Work alongside experienced professionals including Senior Mechanics and Parts Specialists

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain a safe work environment and proactively address unsafe conditions
  • Perform preventive maintenance, service, and repairs on a variety of equipment including:
    • Light and heavy-duty vehicles/equipment
    • Tanks, pumps, and fuel transfer components
  • Respond to field service calls and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
  • Complete inspections and daily maintenance checks
  • Track materials and maintain a clean, organized workspace

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • Previous diesel and/or heavy equipment mechanic experience strongly preferred
  • Associate degree or apprenticeship in diesel technology is a plus

Certifications (Preferred)

  • ASE certification

Skills

  • Strong communication and teamwork

  • Commitment to safe work practices

License

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • CDL preferred
