Gas Technician-Gas Distribution

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is$22.00-$30.00 per hour. Subject to prevailing wage.This range represents the expected hourly compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs. This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.

Do you have a passion for constructing safer communities and ensuring the reliable distribution of natural gas? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Pipefitter to join our dynamic team! As a Pipefitter, you will play a vital role in piping residential and commercial natural gas services, securing the flow from meter to existing fuel lines, and ensuring the safe operation of customer appliances.

Gas Technician

The Gas Technician will be involved in various aspects of natural gas distribution projects and will be responsible for assisting in the task at hand working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Previous natural gas construction experience is preferred but not required.

This position is required to perform the following functions:

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently while performing daily assigned tasks
  • Work in and around natural gas distribution job sites including public right of ways, private property, commercial and residential properties
  • Ensure company equipment and materials are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
  • Ability to follow instructions and guidelines.
  • Able to operate a backhoe or smaller type of equipment as required.

Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Ability to pass Operator Qualification Testing for Natural Gas work
  • Valid Drivers License and/or CDL preferred
  • Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time, with flexible hours inclusive of weekends and holidays

Preferred:

  • High School Diploma or Vocational training in a closely related field
  • 2 4 years Construction Laborer experience
  • Mechanically inclined
