Job description

Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Network/Systems Engineer to perform as a consultant for leading edge information technologies and methodologies to join our dynamic team in the Annapolis Junction MD., area.
Our team provides full spectrum network connectivity including architecture, engineering, development, integration, deployment, configuration management, project management and network security services to the global enterprise, as well as systems and cloud engineering services for application modernization and transition of legacy applications into hybrid cloud platforms.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 12 years of IT related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or related discipline is required. Five (5) years of additional IT experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Active DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher is required (i.e. Security+).
  • Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:
    • Network troubleshooting
    • Routers/switches
    • Cisco IOS/Junos OS
    • Firewalls
    • LAN/WAN/CAN
    • Hubs/Bridges/gateways
    • Network packet investigation/analysis tools
    • Database tools
  • Experience providing highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
  • Ability to perform elaborate analyses and studies and prepare reports and give presentations.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience performing DDI (Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and IP Address Management (IPAM)) for critical network infrastructure services.
  • Experience supporting MultiCloud Fabric (MCF) infrastructure
  • Cloud engineering and modernization experience.

Target Salary Range
$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
